Jim and Mary Axelrod

✨Jim & Mary Axelrod ✨

Jim and Mary Axelrod have been married for 46 years and are proud parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents! They moved to Georgia from California in 2017 and have loved calling this area home ever since.

Jim spent his career as a general contractor and has always enjoyed woodworking, especially building furniture and cabinets. Mary previously worked as an HR manager and now works in the front office at the Gilmer County Animal Shelter. In her free time she enjoys all kinds of crafting, including quilting, jewelry making, and crochet.

A couple of years ago, right around Christmas, they bought their first laser machine. At the time they didn’t know much about how to operate it, but they were eager to learn. Jim was working at a cabinet shop and was able to bring home scrap wood, which gave them plenty of material to practice on while they figured things out.

The following summer they decided to try selling some of their creations at a local farmers market. They quickly discovered that not only was it fun, but it was also doing pretty well! Since then they’ve continued growing and are now excited to be part of the Homestead Hollow Trading Co. family.

We’re so happy to have Jim and Mary with us and look forward to seeing their creations in the store!
